The system worked. The voice did not survive it.

Praxis coordinated twenty-one named agents across nine phases. Schema-validated artifacts, hash-pinned plans, cycle thresholds, escalation packets, and explicit overrides kept the work inspectable from manuscript intake through final assembly.

A full run produced clean, coherent, polished prose. The polish also revealed the central limitation: a system that rewrites prose tends to normalize prose, and the author's rougher texture carries part of the book's meaning.

The private implementation proved the design end to end on a novel in progress. A patent application covering the approach was filed and is not being pursued.

The pipeline's checks remained valuable. Its judgment belonged with the writer. Voice scores, supervisor gates, and calibrated thresholds can identify drift, while the author decides whether the prose actually lands.

That distinction changed the shape of the product. Generation became bounded by the weave, chapter intents, held lines, dictionary entries, and the specific passage a writer chooses.

Weaver gathers material the writer already made. Rewriter offers a visible proposal beside the existing chapter. R/W reads the draft and leaves marks in context.

Each tool creates a pause for judgment. The author chooses what belongs, teaches the dictionary, and carries that knowledge forward into the next patient revision.

The durable patterns remain: inputs are pinned, promises have checks, saved work is recoverable, and meaningful actions explain themselves.

Praxis became the history behind Process v3.0. The suite keeps its engineering discipline while placing the writer's taste at the center of every pass.
